Rebecca + Adam

Rebecca & Adam… what a fantastic couple. During our consultation we talked for over an hour about construction, Cambridge and the possibility of doing an engagement shoot with construction cranes. While that part of the shoot didn’t come to fruition, we did get the chance to photograph this lovely couple on such a beautiful day in the city. Rebecca went a bit retro with the fur petticoat and Adam wore a classic tux. We went around the financial district a bit to get some great photographs before the ceremony started. This was our first time photographing at the New England Aquarium and we apparently hit it out of the park. Many people are asking about our New England Aquarium Wedding Photography services now. Photographing at the aquarium was a great experience as it’s a different type of venue and we purchased special gear just to take advantage of this location. We know Rebecca and Adam had an amazing honeymoon and we now wish them a happy life together and look forward to seeing what comes next....

Pooja + Robert

This Belle Mer Indian Wedding started with 184 images we chose from the several hundred we delivered. Surely every last one isn’t jaw-dropping (I’m my own worst critic), but to take away even one more would be a disservice to this special day. Pooja and Robert are the couple that remind you why you got into and why you stay in this business. We were lucky with our 2013 clients, we had a couple of those. Pooja and Robert were a delight from the start with their Central Park NYC engagement session. Fast forward a few months to their wedding day and it couldn’t have been any better. We were all nervous about the weather, but it turned out fabulous. A little bit of wind, but sunny and warm overall. They really lucked out. And so did we – they were absolutely fantastic on the day of the wedding, laid back and their genuine love was felt even from different floors of the hotel when they were opening their cards and receiving each others gifts. Pooja is a phenomenal writer (I read the card, sorry Pooja! ) and Robert gave her the gift which is always the way to a woman’s heart – Jimmy Choo’s. I couldn’t help but feel this aura of love and happiness the entire day. Usually stress rears its ugly head at some point. Especially in an Indian wedding. Nope, not today. What else can i say here. When i got home, dog tired – i hugged my wife that much tighter. I guess being around people like this have that affect on you. Congrats Pooja and Robert, i don’t have to wish you anything. You already have...

Meredith & Tom

Meredith and Tom flew into Boston from their busy lives in DC for their Boston engagement photography session. With daylight savings time, things got dark quickly, so we hustled to make sure we got some great stuff both in daylight and during the evening. Luckily the weather cooperated and we had one of the nicest days in November to photograph this lovely and funny couple. We can’t wait for their wedding at the Museum of Science Wedding next summer!...

Jenny + Adam

Jenny and Adam, how does one begin a blog post about these two with so many interesting details… Let us start with the fact that they met on the Spirit of Boston. From there the love between these two blossomed into what we have here. A beautiful Boston wedding. They were married at the BU Marsh Chapel wedding and held their reception at the Umass Club Boston. When we attend these weddings, we get to hear all these fantastic details about our clients during the speeches and it really ties things together in terms of who our clients were when they were younger and who they are now. And i try not to divulge too many personal details about client’s history, but this is too cute. Jenny’s father unveiled the fact that she used to sleep with a beast doll from beauty and the beast. How cute is that? And then we learned that Adam entered a Reggae dancing contest and i think he won it. Uhhh, that was out of left field. But cool nonetheless! As more friends and family came up to speak, we learned more and more – like the fact that Adam was interrogated with flashlights before being allowed to date Jenny. (I found that particularly funny as i had a similar situation with my wife Renu.) But in any case, the speeches are oftentimes one of my favorite parts of the wedding. We are so invested in our clients, listening to the speeches really gives us added perspective on our clients and we love learning new things about them, like a friend would. The mere fact that they played a bit of James Brown and Adam, his brother and his father got down to it was a really great moment during the reception. We had a fantastic time and wish Jenny and Adam the very...

Sri + Andrew

Sri and Andrew. We headed into Providence for Sri and Andrew. We decided to go into the Waterfire area and get some good stuff down there, and then the Gondola sailed by and i knew we had to do it. Turns out Sri has always been wanting to go on it, so we killed two birds with one stone. Sri and Andrew are the perfect couple that pull off those close up intimate shots really well. We went all over Providence finding some familiar locations and happenstancing across some new ones. Sri and Andrew never missed a beat and had plenty of patience to boot. Can’t wait for your wedding, congratulations to Sri and Andrew!...

Ruchi + Kushan

Ruchi and Kushan. Self proclaimed nerds (We concur), they had this awesome nervous energy as do all clients when we first start, but about 1/4 through the shoot, we got them out of their shell and they became natural at posing. Which was awesome, as it really brought more of their personality out. Such as bringing a calculator and international tax law book out. In addition to both being accountants they also met at their job. So accounting for better or for worse, is the glue that stuck them together. They had the perfect mix of props, style and fun and it shows. As Boston Indian Engagement Photographers we did a partial day/night shoot and we are in love with the results,...

Alicia + David

Alicia and David. Well I’ll get the white elephant in the room right out of the way. It was planned that the wedding was going to take place on a seaside cliff in Marblehead. However, the weather that morning didn’t cooperate. But that was ok, because Alicia is very thorough. Their backup location, Eastern Yacht Club would be anyone’s primary location. What a great venue, overlooking the water with all the boats in the background… it was absolutely perfect. And of course Murphy’s law of photography – the weather turned out perfect during the time of the ceremony. And we weren’t complaining, it turned out to be an absolutely beautiful day which gave us a chance to bring the couple out and get some great photographs around Marblehead. David is into building Yacht’s so of course we had to stop by Herreshoff Castle and use that as a backdrop to a photo. The nautical theme throughout was a nice touch and if you are into nautical things, i can’t imagine a better and more intimate place to be than Marblehead. Congratulations David and...

Diane + Jeff

Diane and Jeff, another great couple. Diane grew up here, but Jeff was from Minnesota. Their love endured and decided to bring it back to Boston for the wedding. And what a beautiful wedding it was… We photographed in many churches around Boston, but we never photographed the Sacred Heart Church in the North End. What a beautiful church, you just feel its history and the aura of the faithful that go there everyday. Right across from Paul Revere’s house it’s a great location for photographs outside of it as well. I was super excited that we got to get the whole group onto the newly re-opened carousel on the greenway. I’ve been wanting to use it for some time and it opened on their wedding day, so it worked out just right. Then we moved onto the Umass Club Boston. A beautiful venue with an amazing view of the city. Lastly, they had fireworks randomly going off to top off the night!...

Krystal + Paul

Krystal and Paul came to us in July for their September wedding. Not a huge amount of time, but we still got their engagement session in and we made plans for the wedding day. Things worked without a hitch. Krystal and Paul held separate Tea Ceremonies at their respective houses, Krystal’s sisters played a few games before they let Paul in the house, a long standing tradition we as Boston Chinese Wedding Photographers were prepared for. He had to ‘pay off’ her sisters to be let in the house and see his new bride. Later, we moved on to the First Parish Church in Milton. What a beautiful church with lots of natural light, it made photography easy. Finally they held their reception at China Pearl in Quincy. A nice traditional banquet restaurant. We had an absolute blast with Krystal and Paul, they gave us a lot of time to get photographs of the two of them and hopefully that translates here. Good planning resulted in great photographs....

Abbey + Andy

Abbey and Andrew are an amazing pair, he inspects nuclear sites and she will soon be doing a bone marrow transplant in foreign land. Pretty interesting folks… makes me feel like i live a boring life! That is of course until the next wedding, where i spring to life and start scouting for the next best photograph, yes it’s true, i live vicariously through my clients weddings. They were adventurous and held their ceremony outdoors at the Lechmere Canal Park, which has this beautiful willow tree and Boston Harbor Canal as the backdrop. Never in a million years would i have imagined holding a wedding here, but Abbey and Andy saw the potential and i have to say – I’m impressed. They day was beautiful the weather was just right… Their reception was held at the Boston Royal Sonesta Wedding, another great location with the Charles River just behind it, we took full advantage of that location as well. After taking photographs with the pair, the limo had to leave a bit early so we decided to walk back to the hotel. Well after a few steps, Abbey realized her heels were a bit more aggressive than originally thought. So i suggested we take a taxi back. She instead decided to hail a duck boat. A what?… a Duck Boat. They crowd was cheering, they were caught up in a wedding scene and everyone was cheering for them and smiling ear-to-ear. Loved it. Abbey warned me she was a crier, but I’ll be damned if i didn’t shed a tear also after all the special moments of this day. Congratulations to Abbey and Andy, i wish you both the very best in your future...

Anjali + Arjun

Anjali and Arjun, we get a trickle of Boston South Indian weddings each year. Their engagement session was a complete blast so if that was any indicator… we knew this particular wedding was going to be absolutely fantastic! They held their ceremony at the Westford Regency which was a great location for their needs. However, when it came time for photographs, we were in the woods, literally. So as Boston South Indian Wedding Photographers we scouted a couple of locations for the farm/country look. We found a barn and a field… Then on the opposite end of the spectrum we were in the city. The State Room to be exact, in the heart of the city. We really enjoyed the opposite nature of the ceremony vs. reception locations. Anjali had her Bentley crew in full force, along with Arjun’s Tufts crowd. They partied hearty and made things easy for us to photograph! We had a complete blast and congratulate the awesome couple! We wish you guys well in...

Jolene + Chris

Jolene and Chris. Fantastic couple, fantastic energy. And geez, what energy they had. You may remember their engagement photographs here: Boston Engagement Session. We had a great day with them, their planning, attention to detail and overall attitude were fantastic. Surprisingly as Boston Wedding Photographer’s, we hadn’t photographed the Marriott Long Wharf wedding in quite some time. But as we remembered it a few years ago it was rather business oriented and we are glad to report that has greatly changed. They redid the decor and now it’s really a first class hotel to host a wedding. All sorts of nooks and crannies to take fun photographs in… The weather was beautiful on this day and we had the opportunity to take them into the North End and Christopher Columbus park next door. They had a friend at Tresca restaurant in the North End that allowed us to take a photo of the couple up on the balcony. We’ve been imagining this shot for years… We wish Jolene and Chris the very best, enjoy the...

Niki + Vimal

Niki and Vimal. What a fantastic couple. We had rave reviews on their engagement session photographs. During Niki’s Grah Shanti it was pouring raining. Luckily as a Rhode Island Indian Wedding Photographer we were under the tent for most of it, and even more luckily, it cleared the skies for the next day. We couldn’t have asked for better weather on their wedding day. We took them to a park and got some great photographs in addition to the ones at the hotel. Vimal rode a carriage for his Baraat and his 4 sisters kept him in check all day. Niki is lucky to have two great sisters that really helped out with the day as well. Vimal being from Canada, they rented a bus and brought down 55 of their closest friends and family. I’m not sure what it is with Canadian’s. Maybe it’s just a young Canadian Indian thing, but they were absolutely crazy. All of them. During the baraat, during the reception, during dancing. Crazy, all of them. Made for some great photographs! Lastly, Shagun decorators did an amazing job on the mandap and the reception ballroom. Color us impressed. Enjoy the...

Alicia + David

So when Alicia and David mentioned in passing that they had a great engagement session location in mind, near Bar Harbor, i laughed and said yes… that would be great. Thinking it was just an idea being floated by. Until things got silent and i knew they were serious. Well then, yes, let’s do it. David’s family has a cabin on a secluded island up that way and we decided to head over there and capture the place that not only had meaning to David, but it’s also where he proposed to Alicia. We drove up there and couldn’t be happier that we did. While it was a bit of work (Feet getting stuck in mud, mosquitoes everywhere etc), we are very happy with the results. Hope our audience enjoys them as much as we...

Pooja + Robert

We set up some time to do their NYC Engagement Session and had to reschedule due to rain. And are we glad we rescheduled! We instead got a perfect summer day with an even more perfect sunset. To make matters even better – Pooja and Rob are a fantastic couple that came prepared and their love has shone through in their photographs. We can’t wait to photograph their upcoming wedding at Belle Mer. Congrats guys! Ya see what we did there?...
