The dog days of summer

Well the summer is in full swing for those not paying attention. And this summer has been a scorcher and I’m not talking about the weather… They say we appear to be coming out of a recession, but from a wedding photography standpoint, you couldn’t tell there even was a recession. We’ve been jam-packed weekend to weekend and while it proves difficult in management, we manage to pull it off.
It’s seasons like this that help reaffirm that you really, really have to love wedding photography to endure. It can be very stressful at times and in order to keep a smile from weekend to weekend you have to truly have a passion for this type of photography as there is no substitute. The emotions, the time-line, the people all play into how we do our jobs. We love it all and take it as it comes with no prejudice or complaint.
This has been a fantastic summer and we are looking forward to a great fall season. We have a California Wedding, a Connecticut Wedding, we just had our Newport, Rhode Island Wedding and come late November we hope to be in India for our much-deserved vacation.
Without further adieu, here are some recent photos…
First, Monica’s beautiful henna and a group shot (Albeit small here in web format) of everyone’s hands.

Next up is a quickie of Karla relaxing before her big moment:

And lastly, but certainly not least, Holly and Erik Bunker. Beautiful nighttime photo:

These are just amazing. Where on earth is that last one taken? Looks like somewhere in California.
I love the collage of the hands. I would love to get my hands painted in Henna one day.
Thank you for sharing!

Beautiful. You caught a nice moment in that Cape Cod photo. (I’m assuming it’s in Cape Code). I love the Henna photos also. I would love to go to India and have that done.
Where are you guys headed in India?
