…and so, they were married.

…and so, they were married.
Rachael and Juan seem to be intertwined and even when they’re apart, it’s easy to detect the presence of the other. When they said “I love you”, there was no hint of assumption that the other already knew that. It was as though they were saying it and we were hearing it, for the very first time.
The afternoon sunlight shining through the beautifulstained glass and casting color and shadows was poetic….ethreal. It only added to the warmth inside of St. Mary’s, created by all the people there that day, in support of this couple and the family that they were about to become.
…and once they were officially ‘Mr. and Mrs.’, we led them away for some photos to celebrate this matrimonial merger. We could have taken them anywhere and in retrospect, they may not have even noticed where we did take them. Their eyes were locked and never seemed to waiver.
Once at the Omni Biltmore, with everyone waiting to celebrate, he seemed nervous. She seemed nervous. They seemed to be one bundle of the same nerves, not two separate. And nothing seemed to relax them as much as their first dance, their first opportunity to, once again, bring the focus back to each other. They smiled, they laughed, they worked the dance floor, they kissed, and he dipped her at the end of the song.
…and so, they were married.
Symbol Photography congratulates Rachael and Juan on a most stunning of days.
