We don’t shoot in Gloucester/Rockport enough, we love shooting up in these breezy oceanfront towns. Having weddings in these areas means that you have access to beautiful ocean-backed locations and oftentimes beautiful parks as well.
The city is my heart, no doubt, but just once in a while, it’s nice to get out also.
Holly likes to write and in our correspondences, it was evident that she wanted her day to be perfect and we went back and forth a few times trying to ensure that it would go as smoothly as possible.
And smoothly, it went. We did a first look at Stage Fort Park and did most of the wedding party photos there as well. They have these awesome carved rock stairs and ocean views and it was an amazing backdrop for our photographs.
Holly and Brett held their ceremony at St Anne’s in Gloucester. And their reception at the Gloucester Cruiseport in the center of Gloucester.

We had our wedding here on April 9, 2011 and Cruiseport is AMAZING! The day that I first when to check out Cruiseport, I had been to 5 other venues. The second I stepped into Cruiseport I knew I was having our wedding there – no matter the cost! I had looked at every hotel in Boston, tons of country clubs, but Cruiseport offers something really different and special. Their views are breath-taking and the space is gorgeous – very open and flexible. Floor to ceiling windows with a view of the ocean – it’s incredible. They use Vin Wood as their caterer and it is a delicious choice! All of the staff at Cruiseport is professional, helpful, flexible and truly cares about each event. I’m an event planner for a living and I had high expectations and was very picky. Cruiseport did not ever fall short. They helped make our wedding perfect – our guests were in awe! Book them quickly – they are sure to be the new hot venue for any event, but especially weddings!
