Andrea is a photographers dream. She went totally retro with the sleeved gloves and bird cage veil, she even threw in a mink coat for good measure.

Freakin’ awesome. Their style and hiring Gracie Lou Events planners went a long way to ensuring their day was absolutely perfect. We had just over an hour with Andrea and Jared in Salem and couldn’t have asked for more… sunset, beautiful waterfront and fall color. We were in heaven.

Upon scouting, we found this really cool white wall and black signage which we felt spoke to the classy simplicity of Andrea’s attire and decided to take some shots there in addition to the waterfront. Salem is really underrated for photography. There are lots of cool things to capture in Salem. And the old architecture in the fall really provides us some great backdrops.

Andrea and Jared’s wedding ceremony took place at the Immaculate Conception Church of Salem. A beautiful church with lots of light and close to the Hawthorne Hotel. And they held their reception at the Hawthorne Hotel. The Hawthorne was very nicely decorated by Elizabeth at Gracie Lou Events and it shows in the photos.

Luckily with Valerie and Erik, we had two hours and we were in the heart of the city. So it wasn’t hard for us to get some great shots in and around Faneuil Hall.

Valerie and Erik had their ceremony and reception at the Millennium Hotel in downtown Boston. It was a semi-traditional Jewish ceremony with an awesome home-made chuppah, made of what appeared to be birch tree trunks and was just awesome.

We love shooting at the Millennium Hotel, it’s a great location and also very challenging for any photographer as the glass ceilings are difficult to shoot against. But as you can see in the photos, we make it work.

We love weddings at the Boston Seaport Hotel. Especially Indian weddings! Well, half ones are ok too. What a great blend of traditions and fun. I give Megan all the credit in the world. She and Sree both went to learn how to dance Indian dances, she learned the culture and learned all sorts of nuances that came in handy the day of her wedding.

Caroline and Matt are that couple that most photographers wish for. Laid back, chill and they just let you do what you do best. Enjoy!

Next they held their reception at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum in Brookline. Another fantastic location also not too far outside the city. Larz Anderson besides being a cool auto museum – also has beautiful grounds with a nice park attached to it. It’s one of those hidden gems that you can live in the city your entire life and never know about this place. But it’s certainly worth visiting on many levels.

The outdoor ceremony, complete with geese and cows in the background, on the lush green lawn at the farm was the perfect setting. As we moved inside for the reception, guests were treated with traditions from the Korean wedding ceremony along with beautiful decor and details like the cake topper made by the bride herself! Capturing all of the emotion and love from the day was so easy when the bride and groom are so vibrant, energetic and fun! We had such an outstanding time with Pauline and Vincent and can only hope that all weddings are as great!

We then moved on to taking some shots nearby the venue location – Venezia. Venezia is right on the water and really close to Boston. They decorated beautifully and it holds a lot of people. Which was great having space. The night was finished off with Canoli’s and other Italian pastry’s and made for an excellent and full night

They started off at St. Jude’s in Waltham. A fabulous and quaint church in Waltham. We then moved to the Millenium Hotel in Boston. The Millenium really stands out for it’s updated decor and its proximity to Fanueil Hall.

Kara and her father did the ‘Godfather Waltz’ which was a new one for us, and we absolutely loved it. As you can see, we had a great night. Hopefully they did also!

Beautiful South End Holy Cross Cathedral. I have to say, we were in awe on how big this church is. It really poses issues for on camera flash as the ceiling is so high that bouncing becomes rather difficult even at 1/1 and 1600ISO. We made it work though with a little help from our Quadra.

In November in Boston, sun goes down by 5pm. So we had to get creative. Sure we could have done the flash thing but we wanted something a little more artsy and organic to reflect the area in which we were. So we found a nearby shop which luckily Elizabeth and Dan knew the owner and spent a little time in there along with Lily, their dog:

And of course…. the Dirty Dancing jump and hold. What wedding would be complete without that?!

Being so close to so many great spots in the city really allowed us to take them to serveral locations in an around Charlestown and the North End. Top it all off with a portrait in Bond restaurant and bar, and it’s complete. Enjoy!

And i ask ya, what more does one need than video games before their wedding? Call of Duty? Yes, please.

Boy, what a month… this must be our busiest month on record.
Every minute of every day/week has been spoken for. We are looking forward to November when things slow down considerably. We don’t have much time to type a lot of things, but again, since most people look at images here, we’ve included a whole bunch…. Enjoy!

Jennifer and Joe got married at the Fairmont Battery Wharf next to the North End. The hotel is beautiful and well appointed. If you have under 100 guests for your wedding, we highly suggest using this space. Not only is it beautiful, but they give you waterfront view suites, and the staff are probably the best in the business.

The background is wonderfully appointed and gives a very classy look to any wedding.

Well as luck would have it, the Madonna Della Cava Feast was going on at the same time. We had a chance to bring them into the feast and get some great photos. All the old Italian ladies giving her unwarranted marriage advice, donating to the Madonna, the entire band started to play here comes the bride as they were walking down Hanover street. It was magical.

Jennifer couldn’t help but get emotional as they started to play ‘Here comes the bride’ down Hanover street. She didn’t cry during her ceremony though

Jennifer and Joe didn’t know it at the time, but they got a chance to have their photo taken with the infamous ‘Lorena from Pizzeria Regina’s’ They should cherish this photo!
