Who photographs our wedding?

Only Brendan & Natalie shoot for Symbol Photography. We don't have any third party shooters nor do we ever intend to.

What are your most important attributes?

Most importantly, we are a soon-to-be married team. We have the ability to cover your event from both the bride and groom's perspective. This should not be easily brushed over. We are both primary shooters, not one shooter and one assistant. You essentially have two photographers working your session from two unique perspectives, or more importantly, the male and female perspective.

Do we get the photos on CD/DVD?

We include a 'Printable DVD' with every package. This contains the high resolution files allowing you to do your own reprints, email them or put them on Facebook!

How long before we get our Photos?

Depends on the package ordered. Obviously the longer we are there, the more photos we shoot, the longer they take to process. But we always guarantee turnaround in under 4 weeks. You'll come back from your honeymoon, have a breather, and then get your photos.

Do you charge for travel?

Travel is included when the destination is within a 2 hour radius of Boston. That covers most of the Greater New England area, Newport and New York City. For destinations further abroad and outside the United States we can create a custom quote for your destination.

Are you insured?

Yes! We have professional indemnity and public liability insurance...and of course our equipment is insured..

Will your Wedding Book albums last generations?

We use only the highest quality suppliers. Our supplier offers a life-time guarantee on their products.

What equipment do you use?

Brendan & Natalie both shoot with Canon 5DMKII's and our newly acquired 1DMKIV. We use the latest and greatest professional line of equipment from Canon. We also use a host of professional lighting equipment in our studio in Boston.

Are there any hidden costs?

The prices quoted are fully inclusive. There are no hidden extra's.

What happens if you are sick on the day of?

It has never happened, but Symbol Photography has a network of photographers who we can call upon if need be. We are also a licensed and qualified member of the Professional Photographers Association of America who can provide assistance if need be.

Are your prices guaranteed?

For bookings made now, we guarantee our prices for 2010-2011. For 2012, we promise our prices won't go up more than 10% .

Do you enjoy what you do?

Absolutely! Photography is our life. Our entire world revolves around photographs, capturing people, emotions, locations and ensuring we are up to date on the latest techniques.

How do we design our album?

Designing an album is difficult when you've never done it before. On returning from honeymoon, Brendan & Natalie will provide you with a mock album layout. This is quite unique in the wedding industry. This is a great start and will help you visualise what is possible. You can change the mock layout as you wish.

Can we request specific photographs or poses?

Absolutely! When we meet in consultation, we will go over all the different details of your day, including posing, style and all the other expectations that come along with an event of this magnitude.

How long does it take to get the album back?

We use only the best in the industry, so the lead times are anywhere from 3-6 weeks.

Do you do engagement session photographs?

Yes, in fact most of our packages include them! We love engagement sessions, they are fun, casual and exciting!

Can you provide framed enlargement?

Yes. We can provide a range of post-wedding accessories including canvas prints, framed enlargements and parent books. There's no pressure - prices available on request.

What else do we need to know?

Nothing that we won't go over in our consultation. Natalie and Brendan are very easy to work with. We work on a no-pressure model. We don't try to sell you anything you didn't come to us for in the first place. We have all sorts of products available. And we will make them available to you, but we don't 'upsell' you on any products you don't inquire about of your own volition.
